The third post on our quest for hour long worth of music videos takes us north of the border to Canada. Group, artist or member of a group must be from Canada is the rule. Lots of choices so if you don’t see a group I apologize ahead of time.
Any list of Canadian Rock artists should begin with Rush.
Now if the volume is still to low we turn it up for Pat Travers Band
This hard rocker is a song from April Wine was always on my list to do as a post but I never got around to it.
Now for some songs that had so much radio play back in the day you would get tired of hearing them.
First up Five Man Electric Band.
Choosing only one song with Randy Bachman Became a challenge should I go with The Guess Who or BTO.
Maybe this jazzy tune by Alannah Myles was on MTV every fifteen minutes (when they still played music videos) more then radio.
Did Red Rider ever have any other hits after their debut album?
Now for the strange? Or is it just the Crash Test Dummies.
While doing research I found a great version of a classic by Velvet Underground done by Cowboy Junkies that I just couldn’t pass up.
This video by Aldo Nova has him shooting a laser out of the guitar. You can’t go wrong with something like that from the early 80’s.
Singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot spent a lot of time on the singles charts back in the 70’s. Here is one of my favorites by him.
What better way to finish off this Canadian Rock hour then with Tragically Hip
o many good bands from Canada. I really like those last two cuts. Hip do a great version of Lightfoot’s ‘Black Day In July’

Tough to argue with a list that opens with Rush & ends with The Hip!
