Thanks to my two youngest girls I got the chance to see Blue Oyster Cult the other day at the Marin County Fair. Not many groups left out there that you can say you saw 46 or 47 years apart. Lucky for me the youngest has a great understanding of my music taste and had been teaching the other one a lot. Plus we have the famous Saturday Night Live Cowbell Skit that turned on another generation of kids to BOC. From the opening notes of Transmaniacon MC to the last notes of Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll they rocked the place.

With original member Buck Dharma still playing a great lead guitar and the other original member Eric Bloom doing a lot of the lead singing, a little guitar and organ playing they looked to be in great shape and ready to tour forever. With Danny Miranda on bass, Richie Castellano on guitar and Jules Radino on drums if you get a chance go see this tight band live. Here is a couple teasers plus of coarse the cow bell skit.
